Message . . .
Wow,
our 2010 term is an exciting year for LAWPOA Board projects and
accomplishments!
Many
of you have been aware that our LAWPOA organization contracted
sometime last year with Faircount Media Group for the creation of a
commemorative magazine that celebrates our 100 years of women in the
law enforcement profession. All
LAWPOA members will receive this keepsake magazine sometime this
September, 2010. I’m
certain that you will all find the magazine both enjoyable and
educational.
The
LAWPOA Constitution and Bylaws have been revised and distributed to
the membership. Please
take the time to review the Bylaws.
Our Annual General Membership meeting has been scheduled for August 10,
2010 at the Academy Lounge, 1700 hours.
Members should plan on attending the meeting to ratify the
Bylaws and find out about our upcoming events.
Once the Bylaws have been ratified, the Bylaws will be
contained on the website. If you have not received your copy of the
Bylaws, or you would like to have a copy of the approved version of
the Bylaws, please contact the Hotline at (213) 228-9199 and we will
send you a copy immediately. Otherwise,
the Bylaws will be permanently displayed on the LAWPOA website.

LAWPOA Leadership and Scholarship Awards Luncheon is in the planning
