Remembering Our Brave Heroes

Every day, police officers put their lives on the line to make a positive impact on the communities they serve, never considering the potential perils that await. LAWPOA continues to remember our fallen heroes so that their legacies live on and inspire others to give as selflessly as they did.

To those LAWPOA members we’ve lost, we honor you, we salute you, and we thank you.

Detective III Kimberly Jones-Harris

May 8, 1963 - June 11, 2016

Serial No. 25140

On June 11, 2016, a very bright star in the midnight sky has fallen. Our own Detective Kimberly Jones-Harris, a former LAWPOA Board member, passed away and we all certainly feel that void in our hearts. Kim was an amazing woman, wife, mother and a very dear friend who had such a contagious smile, which had an affect on so many of us that you came away just feeling so good about yourself. Kim, we miss you so! May God welcome you with his open arms!
