Officer Ivanna Palacios was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Northeast and East Hollywood. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Ivanna continued her education through the CSULB Education Specialist Credential Program.
Additionally, she had the opportunity to work with children with special needs for approximately five years. During that time, she developed strong skills in adaptability, collaboration, advocacy, and effective communication.
In 2022, Ivanna was appointed to the Los Angeles Police Department. After her Academy training, Officer Palacios was assigned to Hollenbeck Division, where she completed her probationary period. She then transferred to Hollywood Division, where she worked patrol and the Hollywood Entertainment District.
Aside from becoming LAWPOA’s new secretary, Officer Palacios is the co-chair of the LAWPOA maternity
uniform committee and co-chair of the LAWPOA membership and retirements committee.
When she’s not on duty, Ivanna enjoys traveling with her fiancé, spending quality time with her family and cooking her favorite dishes.
